Such pretty colors and prints…
So after my Fix last month was almost a complete bust, I adjusted the schedule so I would get another Fix sooner; rather than having to wait a full month. I asked for Sara back (my stylist from February’s awesome box), but I didn’t get her. So I’m on to my fourth stylist, though Kaley did pretty well.
At least she got what I was looking for, though still no mint, white or peach jeans. I asked to try something out of my comfort zone, like a maxi dress, so this is what I got:
Renee C Reyna Jersey Maxi Dress – S ($78)
I’m seriously on the fence about this one, so I need your help. Should I get it? My husband said it was a bit boho, but that’s not a bad thing. It is very comfortable, but I was debating when/where I would wear it. Perhaps when the parents move out here, I’ll have more options for summer night outings (which is how I envision this). I’m also not sure whether the cut and print are entirely flattering. I think I’m going to have to give this one the full three days!
Le Lis Mada Scoop Neck Blouse – XS ($44)
I love this blouse! It is sheer, so I had to put a camp under it, but it has all the right fresh colors with a floral pattern that doesn’t scream “Grandma”. I can dress it up with a skirt or black pants for work or throw on capris for a more casual look.
Dolce Vita Monica Suede Criss Cross Slide – Blue ($70)
Yes, Stitch Fix now has shoes. I like the color of these slides and they are comfortable on, but they are pretty loud on the floor when walking, and I just don’t think a $70 price tag is justified on these.
Papermoon Wilam Blouse – XS ($38)
Kayla grabbed the perfect pastel colors in this top. Oh how I wish I had mint jeans to pair with it, though! This top is also sheer, so cami needed again. I might have considered keeping this one, but the cap sleeves were tight on my shoulders. Nothing worse than not being able to raise your arms in a shirt!
Street Level Jacey Striped Reversible Tote – Navy ($62)
This is an interesting concept. I like the big size of this tote and the striped side screams summer beach tote. I think I’m on the fence about this one as well. I don’t exactly need a big tote, but it would be more chic than taking the diaper bag out.
So there you have it. I’m much happier with the choices for this Fix, though the jury is still out on whether I’ll keep more than just one item. Stay tuned…
After thinking on this for a day, I have decided to only purchase the Le Lis Blouse. Ultimately my personal discretionary budget won out. I didn’t LOVE the fit of the maxi dress and thought the waistline wasn’t flattering enough. I really debated about the tote. It COULD be useful, but again, it didn’t LOVE it and don’t NEED it. Also, I already made a purchase with my Fabletics subscription this month and also found myself some Kut from the Kloth mint jeans on Zappos. All in all I’m getting plenty of stuff this month, just not from Stitch Fix. I do love the Le Lis top, though. Wearing it already!
